North Sea system integration

Our future energy supply will consist of many different forms of energy. Offshore wind will have an important role to play in this mix. There is considerable upside potential for synergy between the wind sector and the gas sector. Mindful of this, NOGEPA signed up to the GasMeetsWind manifesto in 2015. The aim of this initiative was to investigate how the large-scale roll-out of offshore wind energy could benefit from the presence of the existing gas infrastructure, including wells, platforms and pipelines.
